Charles L. Rutter (Charlie) serves as a senior associate attorney and one of the Firm’s Intake Attorneys. Charlie has 25 years of legal expertise. Throughout his career, he has served as General Counsel for various construction companies and has been a member of several startups. Early in his career, he also served as both a State Prosecutor and Assistant Attorney General, and as a Business Litigation Associate at the national law firm of Stinson, LLP. Before practicing law, he held a secret clearance while working at the Pentagon in the Air Force’s Strategic Planning and Programming Directorate. Charles is licensed to practice law in Kansas.

Outside the Office
Charlie currently resides in Lawrence, Kansas, and Denver, Colorado. He is active in his community, school, and church. In his spare time, he enjoys running, fishing, skiing, trail riding, and spending time with his family of six. He is an avid fly fisherman and alpine ski racer.
