Jereme Baker
Founder & Managing Member
Jereme Baker is the owner and Managing Member of Baker Law Group. Mr. Baker has extensive experience in the various practice areas of the firm, namely, Real Estate, Business/Corporate Law, Estate Planning, and Probate. He has provided legal and business advice to many small to medium-sized businesses through roles as both in-house legal counsel and as outside general counsel.
Some of Mr. Baker’s recent practice accomplishments include negotiating and forming a multimillion-dollar joint venture investment fund; assisting private equity client in acquiring over $30 million in real estate assets including drafting, negotiating and in the performance of due diligence; and assisting client in the negotiation and drafting of a $60 million-dollar commercial real estate development venture in Denver.
Mr. Baker has also provided advisement regarding governance, management and operation of privately held investment ventures, advisement regarding regulatory/compliance review, formation and drafting of corporate governance documents and board books, drafting of business formation and partnership agreements, drafting of commercial loan agreements, and negotiating, resolving, and litigating contractual disputes. In addition, he has advised regarding various real estate matters, including drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, drafting residential and commercial leases, and conducting real estate title and due diligence review. In the areas of probate he has experience litigating contested wills/trusts and probate contests, & advising clients regarding probate administration.
Jereme started Baker Law Group in 2011. He earned his B.A. from Rutgers University and his J.D. Degree from the University of Colorado. He has two preschool aged boys, and he loves taking them camping, hiking, and fishing and watching them grow up. He is a 2014 Recipient of the Billy Lewis Young Lawyer Award – Courage Under Fire Award. Additionally, superlawyers.com recognized Mr. Baker as a “Rising Star”.


Brian Petz
Senior Associate Attorney & Member
Brian Petz is a senior associate and chair of the Probate and Estate Planning Department of Baker Law Group, LLC. His practice focuses on estate planning, guardianship and conservatorship, estate and trust administration, and probate litigation. Mr. Petz has represented an array of clients in estate planning, including those with small, moderate, and large estates, as well as those with traditional and blended families. He has assisted clients in the administration of multimillion-dollar trusts and estates, and has litigated probate issues concerning, among other things: fiduciary appointment and removal; surcharge; common-law marriage; and heirship.
In addition to his probate practice, Mr. Petz has supported the Real Estate and Business Law Departments of Baker Law Group, LLC, recently assisting on real estate acquisitions exceeding $30 million in value, various commercial contracts, master service agreements, commercial and residential leases, and business formations.
Mr. Petz joined Baker Law Group as an associate attorney in 2015. He is a member of the Colorado and Arapahoe County Bar Associations, the Elder Law and Trust & Estate Sections of the Colorado Bar Association, and is actively involved in various organizations serving and advocating for Colorado’s senior population.
Mr. Petz earned his B.S. from Florida State University and his J.D. from University of Colorado Law School. Originally from Clearwater, Florida, Brian now lives in Thornton with his wife and three dogs. During his spare time, he enjoys hiking and playing hockey.
Robert Harper
Senior Associate Attorney
Robert Harper is a senior associate with extensive litigation experience in civil litigation including personal injury, construction defect (CDARA), business and real estate litigation, and landlord-tenant disputes. Robert has considerable trial experience with multiple courtroom victories. Overall, Robert has represented clients in over 350 litigated matters across Colorado, including Federal, District, and County Courts.
Robert believes in utilizing strategic litigation tactics to outmaneuver and gain a legal advantage for his clients. Robert also ensures that his clients are fully informed so that they can make educated decisions. In representing both Plaintiff and Defendants alike, Robert brings a unique insight in each case to create leverage for his clients.
While originally from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Robert earned his J.D. and master’s degree at Vermont Law School in South Royalton, Vermont. Before law school, Robert attended Albright University in Reading, PA majoring in both History and Political Science. While there, Robert earned All-American honors, Defensive Player of the Year, and received the Student Athlete of the Year Award in 2009. Robert is a member of the both the Colorado, and Douglas County Bar Associations. Robert has also been bestowed with the Top 40 under 40 Award for Lawyers in the State of Colorado.
Robert enjoys playing golf, hiking, flyfishing and spending time with his wife, Casey, and two pets, Jersey the boxer and Jack the cat. Robert is an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.


Alex Lejeune
Associate Attorney
Alex LeJeune is a junior associate with experience in several areas of civil litigation including business and real estate litigation, criminal defense, and personal injury matters. Alex has knowledge of how to address complex legal issues involving both rural and commercial property, as well as business and contractual disputes. As a strong advocate, Alex fights for his clients from inception to verdict and takes pride in providing information and guidance every step of the way. Prior to practicing in Colorado, he also engaged in transactional practice including purchase and sale agreements and entity formation. He is licensed in Colorado.
Alex earned his J.D./D.C. L, cum laude, from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center. While in law school, Alex was twice chosen for publication for his articles on numerous land-use issues. He also successfully competed in several trial and dispute resolution competitions. Prior to law school, Alex attended Louisiana State University where he earned his bachelor’s in Philosophy, cum laude, with concentrations in law, ethics, and social justice. As part of the first crop of law students, Alex was chosen to participate in the 3+3 program allowing him to obtain his law degree in just six years.
Alex was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He enjoys playing basketball and guitar, as well as cooking, writing, and traveling with friends
Zach Crabill
Associate Attorney
Zach Crabill is an associate whose law practice focuses on Criminal Law and Civil Litigation. such as transactional business law, estate planning, and criminal law. At the inception of his career, Zach focused his efforts on helping individuals form their businesses, protect their assets, diversify, and grow their asset portfolio. However, Zach knew he had an interest in gaining courtroom experience. He transitioned to criminal prosecutorial work at the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, serving as a Deputy District Attorney in El Paso and Teller Counties. During this experience, he quickly learned that he had the aptitude and skillset to become a great trial attorney. As a Deputy District Attorney, he honed his skills as a trial attorney and gained a wealth of knowledge in all things criminal law. Zach has managed hundreds of cases and conducted nearly 30 jury trials. Zach is implementing these skills at Baker Law Group as a criminal defense attorney and civil litigator for our clients.
Zach grew up in Virginia where he earned his bachelor’s in government of Western Legal Traditions from Liberty University and his J.D. from Liberty University School of Law. During his time in law school, he served as Senator for the Student Bar Association and Executive Assistant in The Federalist Society. A repeat Dean’s List recipient, Zach prioritized and expedited his education, obtaining his law degree in just six years.
In his free time, Zach enjoys spending time with his family, snowboarding, golfing, weightlifting, and playing guitar.


Charles Wood
Associate Attorney
Charles Wood is an associate attorney who focuses on Civil Litigation. His practice areas include business and commercial disputes, real estate, construction defect and defamation matters. Charles also has experience in oil and gas, probate, and business entity formation and corporate governance matters. He is a meticulous and diligent lawyer dedicated to advocating for his clients by maximizing their legal rights. Charles emphasizes transparency and communication with his clients and works to ensure that they are informed and involved throughout each case.
Charles earned his Juris Doctor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and concurrently gained law firm experience through his position as a law clerk. Prior to law school, Charles was a legislative director and campaign manager for various members of the Texas State Legislature. His political experience instilled in him a passion and respect for the law, which he carries forward with him as a legal practitioner. Charles attended the University of Texas where he majored in political science and completed a certificate in business.
Charles is a native of Houston, Texas, and grew up backpacking in Colorado during the summer. When he is not practicing law, Charles enjoys skiing in Breckenridge, camping in the Rockies, international travel, and live music at Red Rocks Amphitheater.
Karen Coffey
Senior Associate Attorney & Administrator
Karen grew up in southwest, Michigan about 90 minutes from Chicago. She attended Michigan State University for her undergraduate degree and received her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1998.
As an attorney, she’s practiced in the areas of commercial litigation, small business law, estate planning, transactional real estate, and foreclosure defense litigation and is licensed in Michigan.
Most recently, she’s joined Baker Law Group and works in her areas of expertise as well as assists in the management and administration of the firm as we continue to grow and expand.
Karen enjoys hiking, skiing, golfing and is still exploring everything that Colorado has to offer. She also enjoys spending time with her three rescue animals. She has a 9-year=old pit-bull mix, Maya and two 6-year-old cats, Thing I and Thing 2.


Matthew Stewart
Associate Attorney
Matthew Stewart came to the legal profession later in life. Matthew has had extensive careers in construction and education. He was a trim carpenter early in his working life, installing doors in custom homes. Most recently, he had his own business as a private tutor.
Matthew graduated from CU Law in 2021. During his legal career, Matthew has worked in family law and estate planning. At Baker Law Group, Matthew is the newest member of the litigation team.
